They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day so we’re proud to offer Derbyshire’s largest and varied breakfast and brunch menu.

You’ll find young families, couples, walkers, cyclists, ladies lunching and hangover nurses, all sat shoulder-to-shoulder enjoying the all day breakfast. If the Belgian waffles straight off our waffle press with crispy bacon and lashings of maple syrup are too sweet for your palate, the big breakfasts, breakfast burrito or more elegant Eggs Benedict to name a few, might be more up your street.

On our lunch menu you will find fresh focaccias, toasties, summer salads and special. Creating fresh dishes is our passion.

All of our menu is available to eat in or take away.

Ockbrook and Borrowash Cricket Club is a stones throw away from us and our lunch menu is a popular choice for a cricket picnic in the sun.

We are proud to be renowned for our in-house bakery and have a team of talented bakers who make layer cakes, light as a feather loaves, indulgent traybakes and giant scones. We work with the seasons to produce different flavours and combinations each week.

Cake slices can be purchased as a takeaway too and make a great gift if you’re visiting a friend.

The teahouse is very popular and quintessentially cosy and we always recommend that you book especially if you're travelling to us. We have been known to be booked up 3 weeks in advance.

We regret that we don't cater for parties larger than 6, this is simply down to the size of our kitchen. We pride ourselves on quality, service and make all our food fresh to order and are unable to guarantee we can maintain our standards for larger groups.

Covid19 forced us to think outside the box and figure out a way to provide undercover outdoor seating with plenty of ventilation for our customers.

That welcomed the opening of our barn located at the back of the courtyard. You don’t need to book a table in our barn, just turn up and choose a table. We recommend you dress for the outdoors but the barn is equipped with a roaring log burner, an over head heater, complimentary blankets and hot water bottles. To order from our barn please place your order at the open-air hatch and our waiting-on staff will do the rest. We serve our full menu in the barns and we also welcome dogs.

In the courtyard you’ll find our takeaway hatch and a few tables ~ weather dependant.

You don’t need to book our courtyard tables just turn up and sit at a empty table.

The takeaway hatch is ideal to grab takeaway drinks, cakes and food if you don’t have time to sit down or want to eat or drink on the go.

Afternoon Tea £25 pp ~ includes a flute of fresh orange juice, a tiered rustic stand with a selection of freshly made sandwiches, homemade fruit scones with Cornish clotted cream and jam and a selection of our homemade dainty cakes. All this is washed down with endless tea or coffee.

Prosecco Afternoon Tea 30pp ~ as above exchanging the orange juice for prosecco.

Vegetarian sandwich fillings available on request 24 hours prior to booking.

Bookable in advance and we require a 50% deposit when booking Afternoon Tea.

We take allergies and autoimmune diseases very seriously and regret that due to the size of our kitchen and how busy we are, we can’t cater for free from gluten or auto immune disease afternoon teas. Your safety is our priority.
